With an average bike, parts are stripped and repaired, sprayed with catalyzed primers topped with primer/sealer and then smoothed to perfection before any basecoats are applied. Then basecoats and graphics (or candies) followed by clear and more sanding to ensure a uniform smooth surface before clearing again. Pinstripes are added next (if applicable) and then the whole bike is given several more coats of clear before being wet-sanded and buffed to perfection.

All paintjobs are done using House of Kolor, universally regarded as the best finishes available in the kustom kulture, though other recognized brands are used from time to time for color matches and certain special effects.
